Guardian Greymalkin (Conjuration [Calling])

The caster attracts the attention of a creature which protects him from unseen attack. This creature watches over the caster from the ethereal plane, intervening against any foe who attempts to attack the caster by surprise, sneak attack, or against any blow which would kill the caster. The creature intercepts the surprise or killing blow, taking the damage instead of the caster. The creature can see invisible, out of phase, camouflaged, or otherwise hidden objects as well as astral and ethereal threats. Once the guardian appears, it remains for 1 minute/ level of the caster. The creature assumes the form of a large greymalkin. It has hit dice equal to 2/3 of the caster’s level and attacks each round with a claw/claw/bite routine doing 3‑12/3‑12/2‑24 damage. The creature has AC18, +1/10 resistance, cold and electricity resistance 10 and immunity to paralysis and charm effects. The caster can only have one guardian greymalkin spell active at any time. The material component for this spell is a 5000gp gem offered to the creature in exchange for its services.

The mage creates a resonance effect which harms creatures bearing spell resistance. When the spell is cast, a grey streak of lightning flashes from the caster’s fingertips to strike the target creature. This spell only affects spell resistant creatures, doing a d6 of damage for every 2 points of spell resistance the creature possesses (maximum 20d6). Creatures with spell immunity to certain level of spells (i.e. rakshasha) take as many d6 as a caster needs in levels to cast the spell in question. Thus rakshasa, immune to all but eighth level or higher spells, take 16d6, because this is the minimum level is needed to cast an eighth level spell. There is no saving throw against this spell, and it cannot bounce or affect more than one creature.

 

Power Word, Mute (Conjuration [Creation])

The mage strips an opponent of the power to vocalize. When this power word is uttered, the target creature becomes muted for the spell’s duration. The spell’s duration is dependent upon the current number of hit points that the target has. Creatures with 1-30 hit points are muted for 3-12 melee rounds; creatures with 31-60 hit points are muted for 2-8 rounds; and creatures with 61-90 hit points are muted for 1-4 melee rounds. Creatures with over 90 hit points unaffected. This spell is particularly useful against banshees! –Angstrum

The mage fills the area with pulsing lights which affect the movements of every creature within its confines. Allies of the mage behave as if they had been hasted. Foes of the mage are affected by the equivalent of slow for the spell's duration. As per other illusionary effects, the target creatures are allowed a save versus illusion by means of a Will Save. Until such is stated, the spell has the desired effects. The material component for thus spell is 1000gp of powdered diamond.

 

Watery Grave (Transmutation)

Duration: Instantaneous

Saving Throw: Fortitude partial

Spell Resistance: Yes

 

The mage surrounds the victim in a thin sheath of water containing all the exerted pressure from the deepest parts of the ocean. The victim is allowed a Fortitude Save at -2 to avoid being instantly crushed by the pressure. A successful save allows the victim to burst the pressured sheath, taking only 6d6 points of damage. Non-corporeal objects are unaffected by this spell. The material component for this spell is 500gp of powdered pearl taken from a giant oyster.
