The cleric rapidly copies documents from one source to another. To enact the spell, the cleric must place the document to be copied in contact with a blank surface capable of receiving an imprint. A cleric of levels 1-5 may only copy onto paper, levels 6-10 up to soft metal in hardness, levels 11-15 onto hard metals, and 16+ onto stone. Up to one 8-1/2" x 11" page per caster level may be so copied; complicated drawings or texts take two or three times as long to complete. Contact must remain unbroken between the surfaces while the enscribement is in progress or both documents fade. Each page takes one complete round to enscribe between sources. Non-magical writings receive no save and are duplicated. Magical writings make a Will Save at the level of their creator, and if the save is failed, resist transfer.
Note that magical writings cannot be duplicated by this spell, only transferred. Magical traps such as glyphs of warding, explosive runes and symbols can be safely removed by use of this spell. However, if the save is failed, the trap activates, and the all those in the area receive no save to avoid the effects. The material components for this spell are the cleric's holy symbol, a quill from some exotic creature, and ink.

The cleric receives mental impressions from an object or place that relate to significant points in its history. Only non-magical things can be affected by this spell. The caster has no control over which impressions are viewed, although usually the freshest and/or strongest are seen first. Impressions are gained at the rate of one per caster level. The impressions occur as vivid flashbacks containing all the known senses. Impressions involving exceptionally strong emotions force the caster to Will Save or personally join in re-enacting the experience. The material component is a silver mirror worth 500gp which is not consumed in the casting.

The cleric determines the protective spells or natural abilities another object possesses. Exact spells are not named, but rather the caster learns such information as resistant to fire or immune to poison. Objects examined by this spell will reveal only the type of magic guarding the object (i.e. a glyph of warding and not the glyph FRYZ or polymorph magic and not Xult's Magical Doom). A being or object cloaked against divination spells reveals that is cloaked and naught else. The material component is a glass lens.
Vander's Secretary (Conjuration [Creation])

The cleric conjures a specialized unseen servant to serve him. The servant has an effective Strength of 2 and can lift up to 20 pounds in weight or drag up to 100 pounds. The servant can take dictation at the rate of 200 words per minute per caster and can copy mundane documents at the rate of one page per half hour. The secretary must remain within 20 yards of the caster, or it ceases to exist. It cannot speak, but possesses a rudimentary knowledge of cooking and can make a decent cup of coffee. The secretary is dispelled if it takes more than 8 points of magical damage or is subjected to dispel magic. The material components for this spell are a nail file and a piece of graphite.

The caster enhances his memory for topological features, making mapping much easier. Any place that the caster views while under this spell is considered as if it were recorded on paper for reference. Greater details of a place (i.e. exact placement of furniture, etc.) require longer study to commit to memory. This spell allows the caster to improve the knowledge of an area for spells like teleport at the rate of one category per minute. The material components are a compass and the cleric's holy symbol.

Only 5th level or lower spells are affected, and dispel magic or other similar spells have a normal chance of ending the spell. The cleric hardens the recipient's will versus magical charms and illusions. The recipient gains a +2 divine bonus versus all enchantments and a +4 to enchantment (charm) effects. When disbelieving illusions, this spell gives a +2 divine bonus. If cast on a subject already under a charm effect, a new save is immediately granted with no bonuses. The material component for this spell is an iron bar.

The cleric can neutralize hostile magics through disruption of their energies. This spell allows the caster a free partial action each round to use as a counterspell in addition to taking a normal action. The caster does not have to identify a spell in order to counterspell it, rather he uses the rules for using dispel magic as a counterspell. All character spells and spell-like powers of monsters can be affected by Thailon's Counterspell, but magic items cannot.

The cleric bestows the ability to cast spells without forgetting them. This spell only functions on arcane spellcasters. Each spell cast by the recipient of remembrance has a 10% of not being forgotten. Any spell not forgotten can be subsequently used again if the material components are at hand. The material component for this spell is 1000gp of diamond dust and a sprig of rosemary.

The cleric strips an opponent of the ability to use magic. If the target fails a Will Save at a -4 penalty, it loses the ability to cast all spells or use magical items requiring any form of activation. Creatures successfully saving are foiled from using any magic in that round only, and this spell automatically disrupts any spellcasting in progress. Normally, this effect has a temporary duration, but Amairgen sometimes uses it as a punishment for creatures who sorely abuse magic. When cast at the direction of the goddess, the duration is permanent. The material component in either case is a blank slate.
