The priestess freezes her victim beneath a layer of ice. The spell coats the victim in a fast freezing layer of moisture that inflicts a d8 +1 point per caster level (maximum +10) and causes the victim to suffer a -1 penalty on AC and attack rolls through the end of the next round. A successful save halves damage and negates any additional penalties.

 

Ice Pisk (Evocation [Cold])

Effect: Pisk-like beam

Duration: 1 round/ level

The caster brings forth a pisk of icy force to combat her foes. The ice pisk resembles a normal pisk in all respects save its composition, a stream of magical cold. A successful melee attack by the caster inflicts 4d4 points in cold damage per strike. If the pisk is used against a creature with spell resistance, a check is made upon the first successful hit; if successful, the pisk cannot affect that creature. The weapon may also be used against objects, freezing water (to a depth in a 1 ft. square area x 1 inch thick per strike) or making objects brittle (halve hardness for a d3 rounds) by directing a strike specifically against them. The ice pisk functions only in the hands of the casting priestess; if it leaves her grasp for any reason, it dissipates harmlessly into frosty fog. The caster may not cast other spells while the ice pisk exists without foregoing the remainder of its duration.

Area: Cloud that spreads in an area 30 ft. in diameter by 20 ft. high

The caster creates a bank of numbing fog. All creatures within the area of effect take 2d6 from the numbing cold and are affected as if slowed for as long as they remain within the cloud; a successful save halves the damage and negates the slow effect. The fog is stationary unless the caster spends a full action concentrating on moving it; the maximum movement rate of the cloud is 30 ft. per round.

 

Summon Hoary Host (Evocation [Cold])

Effect: Conjures d4 winter wolves + 1/ 4 caster levels

Duration: 1 minute/ level

The caster calls forth a pack of winter wolves to destroy her foes. This specialized summon monster spell calls a pack of winter wolves loyal to the caster for as long as they remain. This spell will not function in areas which are not artic or sub-artic.

 

Ice Saber Wind (Evocation [Cold])

Area: Cylindrical area 20 ft high x 40 ft in diameter

Duration: 1 minute/ level

Saving Throw: Fortitude partial

Spell Resistance: Yes

 

The caster cloaks herself in the coldest winds of winter. The spell picks up small debris and covers it in a shell of razor sharp ice that slashes as well as freezes. The spell’s circle of whirling, icy wind inflicts 6d6 points of damage per round of exposure; half of this damage is cold and half is slashing. The caster stands unharmed within the eye of the spell. Further, the strength of the winds negates all missile fire within the area of effect, and the flying debris grants the priestess a +2 deflection bonus to AC. Creatures who do not leave the area of effect will take another 6d6 on the priestess’ initiative on the following round and each round they remain. The priestess has the option of naming any who can stand beside her unharmed as the spell is cast.
